Arctic Heat – a Nordic film festival
22nd – 26th of October 2018
Ilokivi & Aalto-sali
Arctic Heat is a Nordic film festival, going on for the 19th consecutive year, hence the XIX this time around. This years program is heavily influenced by a singular theme: REBELLION. The films have been hand picked to represent the Nordic dimensions of rebellion in all it’s different forms.
A lot of the program is subtitled in Finnish, but the ones that have English subtitles in them are marked to the program (OHJELMA) with a little English flag. Neat, ain’t it?
The festival takes place as follows: from Monday the 22nd to Thursday the 25th the screenings are held in Ilokivi and the closing day on Friday the 26th will be held in Aalto-sali, in downtown Jyväskylä. Here’s the location info:
Ilokivi – On Stage
The pre-sales for tickets is now on at www.zupticket.com, you can also go to OHJELMA and click on the yellow button “Liput” to be directed to buy tickets in advance to a specific screening. We highly recommend this, since the pre-tickets only cost 6€ per movie and a ticket from the door is 8€ (with the exception of the Full of Love-documentary screening with the burlesque live show on Wednesday the 24th , which is 8€ in advance and 10€ from the door).
Tickets from the door will be on sale 30 minutes before the start of a movie and it’s cash only for the payment!
For any information about a specific screening or about the festival in total, please don’t hesitate to contact our producer Mikko Järvinen:
